![]() This might actually be one of the first "independent" games I ever bought. You just see that based on the environments (hydroponics labs, sleeping quarters, etc.), but I found it to be a nice touch. They actually tried to come up with a story for the game, so the competition is between scientists on a research mission on the moon Europa. Gather powerful weapons to show your might and wield awesome magic as you complete important quests and train your character to be the mightiest of all. Recruit stalwart allies to aid you against your enemies. You have to build and program your virtual robots, the moment they're in the race or fight, you cannot control them anymore. Feel the wrath in the thrilling sequel, Rage of Mages II: Necromancer, a role-playing, real-time strategy game. This is a robot-building simulator, like those little amateur-built fighter-robots in TV shows. Mind Rover - The Europa Project - OK, now it gets really obscure. The problem is 90 of my favorite games are the ones having the cpu problem : Fallout 1-2 and tactics, rage of mages 1 + 2, and more games like that, the games i seldom or never play work a charm. ![]() ![]() The multiplayer is surprisingly fun, too. ![]() it's amazingly relaxing and intense at the same time. Yet that intense feeling of nature, of really being there while waiting for literally hours in a virtual forest. OK, here are some truly unknown games I really enjoyed:Īrchimedean Dynasty - A deeply atmospheric submarine simulation in a sci-fi world where manking is forced to live at the bottom of the sea.ĭeer Hunter 2005 - There might be newer iterations of this genre, but let me just say that I considered myself to be the last person on earth to ever enjoy a hunting sim (I never hunted IRL, live in a big city and never could harm an animal). ![]()
